The tour combines some of the most exciting and culturally significant cities of Nepal. These are Kathmandu, Bandipur, Pokhara, Lumbini and Chitwan. Introducing the best cities of Nepal tour. Nepal has many world heritage sites which are worth visiting. Phewa Lake at Pokhara with views of the Annapurna range are breathtaking. The viewpoint of Sarangkot is incredible for taking photos. Bandipur village is an awesome sight and Chitwan National Park is home to 43 species of mammals, 45 species of amphibians and over five hundred species of birds. This tour combines it all and is definitely something worth doing to see the best of the country!

We start the tour in Kathmandu and check out the historical art and architecture. Visiting different museums and temples and exploring the local Newari culture will leave you with a real sense of the culture and history of the capital. Moving onto Bandipur, you can check out a beautiful village where you can learn about the different ethnic group’s cultures and traditions. Manaslu, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri snow-topped mountains can be seen from here.

From Bandipur, we head to Pokhara. Exceptional mountain views await. The well maintained city also has a lake which is perfect for relaxing in the sun. Sarangkot sits above Pokhara and gives you 360 degree views of the valley and sunrise above the Annapurna range. Pokhara is truly a great place to relax and enjoy the nature of Nepal!

The religious settlement of Lumbini is next up on the tour. The birthplace of Lord Buddha is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists across the world. It is a very peaceful area where you can experience the spiritual teachings and learnings of Buddhism. If you are interested in learning more about Buddhism, you have come to the right place!

Our final destination is Chitwan National Park. Canoeing, jungle safari and elephant riding can be done here. It is a great place to get close to nature and enjoy the wildlife in Nepal. The sunsets over the river can be spectacular and are to be enjoyed. This concludes the final place on the city tour and we transfer back to Kathmandu. Here we have a celebration dinner on your final night and make the arrangements for your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport ensuring your safe departure from the country.

    1. Day 1 Arrive in Kathmandu

      Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport our staff will welcome you. They will be there to provide a transfer to the hotel and make your first few moments in Nepal comfortable. It can be a little bit of culture shock so our team will guide you through everything and ensure you are going to have a great time.

    2. Day 2 Kathmandu Cultural Tour

      Today we’ll do a tour of Kathmandu valley. During the morning we will visit Pashupatinath which is one of the holiest and ancient temples in the world. We will also visit Bauddhanath (Buddhist temple known as little Tibet), and Swayambhunath which is commonly referred to as the monkey temple. After this, we’ll take a lunch break before the excitement of the afternoon. The afternoon sees us visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. In Kathmandu’s Durbar Square you will visit Kumari Temple which is spectacular and also known as the temple of the living goddess.

      We will then retire back to the hotel where there is some time to relax before we have a great dinner. It is worth relaxing before the drive to Bandipur on Day 3.

    3. Day 3 Travel to Bandipur

      From Kathmandu we move to Bandipur by bus. Lunch is taken on the journey and in total it is 5-6 hours from Kathmandu. The countryside is beautiful and we go past many splendid little villages. Upon reaching Bandipur we will take a tour of the village. Finishing this, we will return to our hotel for dinner. We can enjoy some good conversations and the views before retiring to bed.

    4. Day 4 Sightseeing in Bandipur

      Today we will see the beautiful sunrise after waking up at 6AM. This can be enjoyed over breakfast. The rest of the day is spent enjoying the sights and culture of Bandipur. After lunch we visit Sidda Cave which is a spectacular spot. We will then take a relaxing dinner and discuss the next destination on the trip, Pokhara where we will travel to on Day 5.

    5. Day 5 Drive to Pokhara

      We leave Bandipur in the early morning and drive onwards to Pokhara. The journey to Pokhara takes about 5 hours and is relatively relaxing. Upon reaching Pokhara, we will have some leisure time. Pokhara is a great place to see, Phewa lake is beautiful and you can go canoeing on the surface, there are views of mountains to experience and the cafes and restaurants serve up some great food and drinks. Pokhara is one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal and hard to explain until you visit!

    6. Day 6 Sightseeing in Pokhara

      We wake up early to view the sunrise views of the Annapurna mountain ranges and famous Fish Tail Mountain. If the sky is clear, you will be able to get some stunning photos, so please remember your camera! We hike up Sarangkot where there is a wonderful viewpoint. It is very beautiful place. We will then take lunch and again visit Phewa Lake and some of the other sights in the area. You will see Begnas Lake, Mahendra Gufa and Bhote camp. After a great day of sightseeing, we will take dinner and head back to the hotel. Next up on the trip is a drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha on Day 7.

    7. Day 7 Drive to Lumbini

      Day 7 starts with us traveling to Lumbini. Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Buddha and a famous site for Buddhists to come from around the world. It is a very beautiful and peaceful area. The journey time to this renowned pilgrimage site takes approximately 5 hours. The journey is very scenic and to be enjoyed. Upon reaching Lumbini, we will visit some monasteries and enjoy the hotel in the evening.

    8. Day 8 Sightseeing in Lumbini

      This day is spent experiencing the best sights of Lumbini in it’s entirety. As the birthplace of Lord Buddha, it is heavy on the Buddhist culture and history. There is a lot to explore about Lord Buddha. We can see many monasteries and temples dedicated to Buddhism. We can have interactions with monks at their places of worship. We also have the opportunity to enjoy some cycling. Our whole day is spent sightseeing before returning for dinner and a well deserved sleep.

    9. Day 9 Drive to Chitwan

      Day 9 sees us move onwards to Chitwan. We leave early and will have lunch on the way. Chitwan National Park is home a plethora of wildlife, nature and beautiful settings. Upon arrival we make a tour of the local village. We then take a visit to the Elephant Breeding Centre and learn about the elephant conservation in the area. After this and a long day traveling, we enjoy a splendid dinner and retire to the hotel for some rest. Later in the evening, we enjoy a cultural programme of the Tharu people. It is great to see the local dances and culture and after a long day, we are sure that you will enjoy the sleep.

    10. Day 10 Sightseeing in Chitwan

      The sunrise is a good reason to get up at 6AM as it is rather spectacular. It can be viewed whilst enjoying breakfast. With a good meal, we are ready to explore the delights of Chitwan. We start this with a canoeing trip before a walk in the jungle. There are many rare plants and animals to be seen in Chitwan National Park and our guides will be able to point out these to you. Remember your camera to capture this beauty! We will then take a lunch break. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a elephant safari. This is seen as one of the highlights of things to do in Chitwan so enjoy it! Over dinner we will swap stories and photos that have been taken throughout the day before retiring to sleep for the night.

    11. Day 11 Drive back to Kathmandu

      During the morning we will enjoy some bird watching. Our guides will be able to point out the interesting wildlife which you can see. We will then enjoy our last breakfast in Chitwan and gather our belongings before the journey back to Kathmandu. The journey to Kathmandu takes between 5-6 hours. In Kathmandu, we can enjoy some free time and do any last minute shopping for souvenirs that you may wish to do. In the evening we will celebrate a successful tour, all of the team will join for dinner where we can swap tales about the trip and enjoy our last moments together.

    12. Day 12 Departure from Tribhuvan International Airport

      On your final day in Kathmandu, we will make the arrangements for a transfer to the airport. Our role is to make your journey as comfortable as possible until you check in to your flight.     Sure! If you are looking to spend more time in one of the locations and less in another then let us know and we’ll be able to assist. Changes are possible if we know in advance and we will discuss the difference in pricing that these will make. 

    It is possible. Alcohol can be bought in pretty much all locations so there is no need to go overboard with this. Enjoy the tour, enjoy the locations and enjoy the company of a wonderful visit to Nepal. 

    You are free to wear what you like for this tour. The trekking is limited but we are moving around to see different sights so it is worthwhile bringing a pair of shoes that you are comfortable in spending a lot of time standing / walking in. Note that Chitwan safari requires dark / non exciting colors. This is to ensure that the animals do not get startled. This is worth remembering.
