The Chitwan Jungle Safari very much says what it is! It is the perfect trip for those who love wild animals and beautiful landscapes. In 1970, Chitwan National Park was declared UNESCO Natural Heritage Site status. Chitwan National Park is situated in southern central Nepal. It covers a total area of 932 sq km. The park overlooks the floodplains of Narayani, Reu and Rapati rivers. The park headquarters is Kasara. It is a 21 km drive from Bharatpur. It takes 20 minutes by air or 146 km by bus from Kathmandu. There are plenty of resorts and hotels to accommodate visitors to the area.

The tour starts with getting from Kathmandu to Chitwan. It takes around 5 to 6 hours. Reaching Chitwan, you will be enchanted with the beauty. On the first day, we can take a gentle walk through the forest. There is an amazing sunset from Rapati River to enjoy. After this, we will eat dinner before enjoying local Tharu dance. It will be a new experience and a chance to experience some of the local culture. Waking up early in the morning, we can enjoy a beautiful sunrise view with our breakfast. Then we will be ready for canoeing and a jungle walk. Chitwan National Park is home to 43 species of mammals, 45 species amphibians and five hundred species of birds. There are many rare plants and animals to be seen. Every moment is precious so it is good to take a camera. The day concludes with elephant riding. Finishing this we return back and have a good sleep. On the final day in Chitwan, we wake up early to go bird watching. After this, we return back to Chitwan which ends the Chitwan Jungle Safari.

  1. Day1 Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

    Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our staff will be there to greet you. We will transfer you to a great hotel where you can spend the night.

  2. Day2 Kathmandu to Chitwan and Village Tour

    From Kathmandu we move to Chitwan by bus. We have our lunch on the way. The beauty of the country side can be enjoyed in the bus. Upon reaching Chitwan, we make a tour of the local villages. We then visit the Elephant Breeding Centre and enjoy the sunset. Dinner is next to be enjoyed. After some rest we can enjoy the cultural programme of Tharu people which includes dancing and lots of fun!

  3. Day3 Jungle Safari Whole Day

    We will wake up at 6 am to view sunrise whilst eating breakfast. The morning starts with canoeing in the picturesque setting before a walk in the jungle. There are many rare animals and plants to be seen so don’t forget that camera! Stopping for lunch to recharge before heading on an Elephant Safari in the afternoon. There is a lot to see and enjoy during this day and we hope you can see lots of rare animals. In the evening, we’ll return to the hotel and enjoy dinner before sleeping.

  4. Day4 Chitwan to Kathmandu

    Waking up in the early morning we will enjoy some bird watching. We’ll then have breakfast and pack our bags ready to return back to Kathmandu. The journey back to Kathmandu takes 5-6 hours. If we have time we can do some shopping and visit the sights of Kathmandu by walking. At night we celebrate with a farewell dinner.

  5. Day5 Transfer to Airport for Departure

    Now it’s time to say good bye to Kathmandu. Your journey in Nepal comes to an end today. We assist with the transfer to the airport making your travel comfortable. We wish you a safe journey and are sure to see you again in Nepal!

This is a very relaxing trip made for all abilities. It is perfect for families or those wishing to get closer to nature. There is some walking involved but it is very limited.

You are likely to see some rare wildlife. The guides are trained in tracking down the wildlife in a sustainable environmental friendly way. You will have the opportunities to see rhinos, elephants, rare birds and plants during the trip.

The wildlife safari brings you in a close capacity to wild animals which can be dangerous. It is best to limit the likelihood of any dangers so think about trying to blend into the surroundings with green or dark colors for the day of the safari. No bright colored clothing will be allowed.
