Remote Village Life

Experience a new culture

Immerse yourself in Nepali society and take part in day to day life of a remote village. We have links to remote villages which are untouched by tourism. They provide a key glimpse into the day to day lives of the people who live there. Our connections ensure that you get looked after and treated as one of the residents.

Nepali people love to share their culture with others and promote the country to the outside world. They will only be too happy to have you join them for a few weeks or months. This will be an unforgettable experience living in a foreign land and one you will come to look back on fondly.

Note that these village trips are not meant for general tourism. A great attitude and a willingness to get involved are what is needed to get the most out of such a trip. You are likely to be the only foreigner in a significant distance. Enjoy the switch off from the outside world and gather some excellent life experience and memories to cherish forever.

Internet Challenge

Internet is getting faster in Nepal!

Nepal has long had a reputation for not the best internet. It is true, it can be hard to find decent wifi in places. Most cafes and restaurants are now upgrading their wifi services to keep up with the demand. You will find now that you can atleast get a 5MB/s service in most destinations. This is plenty for keeping the business running!

Nepal is also home to 3G internet. They are currently putting in 4G technology. We have tested the 3G internet in some pretty remote places and again, it tends to perform at about 4-8 MB/s. Making it perfect for tethering. 1GB of data can be bought for $2, what a bargain!

Whatever your plans, let us know! We have great experience in helping startups, founders and digital nomads get the best out of their trips to Nepal and importantly; keep connected! We can ensure you have the same experience be it in Pokhara, Kathmandu, Chitwan or a remote region. Contact us today!

Opportunities for Remote Working in Nepal

Nature, Mountains, Wonderful People and a Great Culture!

Nepal is a great country to visit for a remote working trip. You can see another culture totally different to your own and get up and personal with nature. The country is developing fast but is still cheap to enjoy and stay for an extended period making it perfect for remote working. A lot of the population live in villages in the foothills of the Himalayas and get by with farming. The tourist spots of Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan all have comfortable areas catered for tourism.

It can be a paradise to come and spend some time in Nepal, be it in the cities or in a more remote setting. The population still perform ceremonies and rituals which they have done for thousands of years. Different castes and ethnic groups make up this wonderful country and the population is very practical at building and making things work with what they have.

Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world. Many people go overseas to work for a few years at a time. Popular destinations include Malaysia, the Middle East and Hong Kong. Nepal also has a tradition of providing soldiers for the British and Indian Gurkha regiments and officers for the Singapore police force.

It is a fascinating way of life and if you are looking to get stuck in. We’d love to hear from you. We can position you in a remote village where you will get a friendly welcome, be looked after and treated as one of the residents. It is an experience like no other, and truly unique.
